“You’re in love with him,” Rory was pacing and grousing and Amy was trying to calm him down and watch the goings on at the same time.
“Hush, of course I’m not.” The Doctor’s head popped up, followed by the rest of him shirtsleeves rolled up and a smudge on his chin and Amy tracked him from the control room up some stairs and down a hallway dragging a length of glowing cord. Rory sighed.
“Would you know?”
“Of course I would,” she turned on him, waving the ring in his face and he jerked back knocking something she could not identify over with a crash.
“No touching!” Echoed form down the hallway and her fiancé pulled a face.
“Right,” he lowered his voice. “You tell me how you know.”
She opened her mouth but nothing came out, she wasn’t entirely sure what to say so when River appeared from yet another hallway, nearly as harried looking as the Doctor her hair in a messy bun she grasped the distraction.
"Rory wants to know what it's like to be in love." Amy moved toward the control console interrupted by the sound of the Doctor cursing and clanging things. He got so worked up when the TARDIS wasn't running and he got stranded somewhere.
"I don't--" The other man started to protest asking the other woman seemed impossibly rude considering the topic, and the man in question.
"It's like dying," River said calmly, and walked back out of the room after flipping few switches and calling over her shoulder. "Try that then sweetie."
"That's..." They both watched her go.
"The word you're looking for is awful." Amy said still watching until River ducked out of sight down a corridor.
“I was going to say: that’s true.”
